    Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Rehabilitation Psychologist to join its inpatient psychology department. Brooks Rehabilitation is an extensive system of post-acute services that includes Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital, a 157-bed, state-of-the-art, freestanding and fully accredited rehabilitation hospital; over 25 outpatient clinics located throughout the state of Florida; specialty clinics that include behavioral medicine, neuro-rehabilitation day treatment program, concussion program, pain rehabilitation program, and outpatient rehabilitation/medical psychology; a home health service; a skilled nursing unit; two skilled nursing facilities, an assisted living facility, memory care homes operating the GREEN HOUSE® model, and an inpatient rehabilitation unit at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach.  Brooks Rehabilitation offers many community-based services such as an adaptive sports program, neuro-recovery center, brain injury clubhouse, and school re-entry program. 

     

    Rehabilitation Psychologist. The rehabilitation psychologist position is located on the main campus in Jacksonville, Florida. Conducting psychological and neurobehavioral assessments, delivering treatment and education to patients and families, and collaborating in interdisciplinary treatment planning. 

     

     

    Requirements:

    • Ph.D./Psy.D. from an APA-accredited clinical program, with training conforming to requirements for board certification by ABPP
    • Experience and training in acute neuro-rehabilitation settings
    • License in the state of Florida (eligible for and in process of obtaining Florida license)
    • 1-2 years in acute/inpatient/hospital settings or working with neurological disorders
    • Experience working with an interdisciplinary team

    Desired:

    • Advanced psychological diagnostics and assessments,evidence-based treatment planning; psychotherapeutic
    • Counseling, crisis intervention skill experience 
    • Public speaking and presentation experience 
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

     

     

    Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday (rotating weekend on-call)
