    The Brooks Community Health department supports Brooks Rehabilitation’s mission as a non-profit hospital by investing in community activities that prevent disabilities and meet the needs for persons living with disability. As a 501(c)3 organization, Brooks provide benefits to the community through research, education, charity care, and community health activities and initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    As a Community Health Intern, he/she will get to experience several key operations such as volunteer coordination, donor development and retention, and special event coordination. The intern project and duties will be as follows:

    1. Assist in the coordination and implementation of the following events and fundraisers

        - Brooks Rehab Golf Classic

        - Heart Walk in Partnership with the American Heart Association

    1. Oversee with Volunteer data reporting and recruitment activities
    2. Assist as needed with Gift Shop coverage, reports or product displays
    3. Assistance with data collection and collection of program information as appropriate for grant applications and/or grant reporting
    4. Coordinate and prepare a testimony of a patient's experience at Brooks Rehabilitation
