Overview

The Brooks Community Health department supports Brooks Rehabilitation’s mission as a non-profit hospital by investing in community activities that prevent disabilities and meet the needs for persons living with disability. As a 501(c)3 organization, Brooks provide benefits to the community through research, education, charity care, and community health activities and initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Community Health Intern, he/she will get to experience several key operations such as volunteer coordination, donor development and retention, and special event coordination.

The intern project and duties will be as follows:

  1. Assist the Event Manager in coordination of the following events and fundraisers - Celebrate Independence - Adaptive Sports and Recreation Fundraiser
  2. Oversee completion of Volunteer Mandatories
  3. Assist Manager with letter acknowledgments for tax documentation to Brooks donors
  4. Coordinate and prepare a testimony of a patient's experience at Brooks Rehabilitation
  5. Perform other administrative duties in daily operations
